Did you know?

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is the process through which children acquire the skills and mindsets necessary to build healthy identities, manage emotions, achieve personal goals, demonstrate empathy, foster relationships, and make responsible, compassionate decisions. Currently, three-quarters of school-age children in need of mental health services do not receive them. Of the children who do receive such services, 70-80% access them through their schools. When schools implement comprehensive and preventive mental health programs with tiered support, they help reduce disparities for those most in need.

Our Mission

Our mission at Libby Elementary is to empower students with the skills needed to navigate life's many challenges through our social-emotional learning group lessons. Children are not born with the abilities adults develop through experience, but by providing them with tools, resources, and coping mechanisms, we can help them grow stronger, more resilient, and better equipped to face whatever life throws their way. The Ninja Life Hacks curriculum offers strategies to help children manage strong emotions and tackle life's obstacles.

Our counselor's newsletters are provided in English and Spanish. Don’t miss out on the valuable insights they offer to support your child's social-emotional development.
